The Genesis of Ekāgra

Where Focus Meets Alignment

In Sanskrit, Ekāgra (एकाग्र) signifies one-pointed concentration, alignment, and undisturbed presence. Founded by Shilpi Rawat, Dipti, and Ram to bring precision, safety, and genuine personal care to every practitioner.

Our Foundation

Not Just a Class, A Focused Wellness Journey

Large group fitness classes often miss posture flaws, which can lead to repetitive strain and joint damage. At Ekāgra, our biggest strength is that we aren't just teaching generic yoga. We provide fully personalized attention while taking into account each individual's age, medical conditions, body alignment, and physical limitations.

Whether working with children cultivating healthy posture habits or senior citizens managing joint stiffness and arthritis, every session is guided with 100% precision, anatomical awareness, and injury safety.

About the Founder: Shilpi Rawat

Bachelor of Arts in Yoga, Specialized Training in Hatha Yoga

Shilpi Rawat is the Founder of Ekāgra, a yoga educator and practitioner with over 10 years of personal practice and more than 7 years of teaching experience. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Yoga and has undertaken specialized training in Hatha Yoga. Her practice and teaching encompass Hatha Yoga, Ashtanga Yoga, and Power Yoga, allowing her to work with different approaches to movement, strength, flexibility, breath, and mindful awareness. Her teaching extends beyond the physical aspects of yoga. With a strong interest in anatomy, body awareness, yogic philosophy, and traditional Indian approaches to well-being, she places particular emphasis on helping students understand their own bodies and develop a more conscious relationship with movement and breath. Her approach is influenced by the principles of Yoga and Ayurveda, with an appreciation for their relevance to contemporary lifestyles. With years of experience working with practitioners at different stages of their journey, she believes that yoga should be intentional, adaptable, and rooted in awareness rather than performance. Her classes encourage students to explore their practice with greater understanding, while respecting the individuality of every body. Through Ekāgra, her vision is to create a space where yoga can be experienced as more than a physical practice—a pathway towards greater awareness, balance, strength, and holistic well-being.
